Our Environment

Jump Start provides a unique environment for all of our families.  Our outside playground equipment supports the development of large motor skills, risk taking, balance and co-ordination, problem solving, experimenting, team work and so much more to encourage fun and imaginative play. Grass grows beneath children's feet, trees and umbrellas provide shade on a hot day, gardens grow all around and lots of space allows running, jumping and heaps of fun with friends.

Inside the rooms have been designed to take advantage of natural light, creating different areas to entice play and learning.  Full length windows bring the outdoors in, children's artwork is displayed with pride, areas of comfort and peace provide space for contemplation, imagination and sharing with friends.  Meal times provide a feeling of belonging and inclusiveness.  Our whanau room allows parents and caregivers a space to sit in wonder as they watch their talented children at play.
