Jump Start Educare Centre - Timata Kowhiti

Jump Start Educare provides a unique environment for all of our families, our outside playground equipment supports the development of large motor skills, risk taking, balance and co-ordination, problem solving, experimenting, team work,  and so much more to encourage fun and imaginative play. Grass grows beneath children’s feet, trees shade you on a hot day, gardens grow around you and lots of space allows running, jumping and heaps of fun with friends. Inside the rooms have been designed to take advantage of natural light creating different areas to entice play and learning, full length windows bring the outdoors in, children’s artwork is displayed with pride, areas of comfort and peace provide space for contemplation, imagination and sharing with friends. Meal times provide a feeling of belonging and inclusiveness. Our whanau room allows parents and caregivers a space to sit in wonder as they watch their children at play.

Jump start educare has two rooms Rimu and Kowhai. Both rooms offer mixed age from 6 months to 6 years, both rooms providing a unique atmosphere to support children's learning and development.

Our Aim:

At Jump Start we allow children the opportunity to learn at their own pace, we understand the natural way children develop and grow within a home environment with alongside siblings and adults. We strive to provide a similar environment drawing on children's current knowledge and building on this through stimulating experiences. Our dedicated teachers strive to support children's growth and development through nurturing positive and supportive relationships with all of our children and their families, recognising the importance of family and the wider community.

Enrolment:

Prior to starting date a minimum of three pre-visits is required for approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours. This gives you the opportunity to meet with your child's teachers and share information about your child as well as providing your child with a settling in period to explore the new environment with your company. Centre Opening Hours:

7.30am - 5.30pm
If your child arrives before their booking time you are required to stay with your child until the booked time.

Ratios:

1:4 under twos
1:8 over twos

Safety:

All enquiries and visitors are to report to the office on arrival.  Only persons authorised on the enrolment form are able to pick-up children from the centres or have access to the children while they are in our care.
