Philosophy

At Timata Kowhiti, Jump Start Education and care, we believe children learn through having fun and playing within a mixed age environment where children come first.

We value the individual child's strenghts and interests, facilitating a range of teaching and learning experiences that excite and encourage children to become condifent, competent participants in their own learning.  Children are nourished in mind, body and spirit within a safe, secure, nurturing and vibrant learning environment; supporting children's learning through responsive and reciprocal relationships with teachers.

Through collaborative relationships with parents/whanau and the wider community, children will be empowered to drive, strengthen and extend all their learning pathways.

Timata Kowhiti values the dual heritage of Aotearoa within our daily programme while embracing all cultures within our practice.
